Corporate Controller – Pharma Company (Petaluma, CA)
Salary: $120,000–$150,000 base + stock options
We are a growing pharmaceutical company in Petaluma, CA seeking a Corporate Controller to take ownership of our finance and accounting operations. This is a hands-on leadership role with the opportunity to build processes, partner with executives, and support the company's continued growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with external CPA firm to ensure accurate financial oversight, compliance, and reporting.
- Manage Accounts Payable (A/P) and Accounts Receivable (A/R), including manual transactions and reconciliations.
- Oversee all finance, purchasing, and accounting functions, transitioning responsibilities from other departments.
- Monitor and manage the company's e-commerce site, ensuring proper sales tracking and multi-state tax compliance.
- Support internal and external auditing processes, ensuring accuracy and transparency.
- Lead and contribute to the design, testing, and rollout of a new ERP system.
- Public accounting background, preferably from a CPA firm environment a plus.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
- Proven experience managing A/P, A/R, auditing, and financial controls.
- Familiarity with e-commerce platforms and multi-state sales tax reporting.
- Experience with ERP implementation or system transitions is highly desirable.
- Ability to take ownership of finance, accounting, and purchasing operations.
