Kelly Engineering is seeking a Construction Scheduler/Planner to join our client's Capital Projects team serving a major tech client. You will be responsible for the complex analysis and review of project schedules and other documentation, utilizing Primavera P6 software. You will also generate reports and presentations for client meetings.
Client is open to assisting with relocation expenses.
Salary range: $125,000 - $150,000 depending on experience and location
Responsibilities
- Monitor construction site progress to ensure alignment with project schedules and documentation.
- Conduct project risk reviews, perform schedule analysis, and maintain the risk register.
- Identify scheduling issues, document delays, and propose mitigation or recovery strategies.
- Advise clients on construction progress and cost implications during meetings.
- Develop recovery plans for time and cost overruns.
- Analyze construction claims and provide reports on contractual entitlements and damages for dispute resolution processes, including negotiation, mediation, arbitration, and litigation.
- Create technical reports, charts, and graphs to present analysis findings effectively.
Qualifications / Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, or Construction Management or similar
- 4-8 years of experience in project scheduling for complex capital construction projects
- Strong proficiency of Primavera P6
- Understand how to fully build and maintain an organized, integrated EPC schedule using CPM, resource loading, baselining, coding, and cost
- An intuitive knowledge and ability to quickly understand principles of construction, as well as contractor means and methods
- Ability to engage with the client and key stakeholders at all levels
- Preferred certifications in Planning and Scheduling Professional (PSP) or PMI Scheduling Professional (PMI-SP)
