Kelly® is hiring a skilled Construction Field Lead to lead field operations and support major projects at the Golden Pass Terminal. This is an exciting long-term opportunity to impact safety and quality in a dynamic facility!
Location: Sabine Pass
Job Type: 1 Year Contract (Long-term, with possibility of extension)
Schedule: 5/10's (5 days, 10 hours/day) – OT may be available on weekends
Pay: Up to $70/hour (DOE) Main Functions:
- Champion Worker Safety Programs onsite.
- Oversee and coordinate contractor field activities throughout project execution.
- Review contractor submissions; guide project personnel and team performance.
- Maintain site safety and QA practices, coordinate field schedules, and support turnaround supervision.
- Advise contractors and act as primary technical interface between field work and project management.
- Facilitate strong communication and collaboration across all field teams.
- Provide construction expertise and anticipate field challenges.
- Ensure effective relationships with site teams, contractors, and leadership.
- Drive safety awareness and uphold all safety protocols with contractors and project staff.
- Supervise contractor personnel, adhering to all Safety, Health, Environmental policies.
- Advise on construction planning and daily field operations.
- Day-to-day interface for contractor and craft labor, prioritizing safety, quality, costs, and scheduling.
- Lead safety monitoring initiatives and interface with quality control staff.
- Oversee materials management and ensure compliance with all specifications.
- Track workforce productivity and project schedule adherence.
- Support environmental compliance and handle field-level change management.
- Verify equipment arrival and support commissioning as needed.
- Assist with Work Management Systems (Permitting, JSA Reviews, LOTO, etc.).
- Coordinate audits, surveillance activities, and additional duties as assigned.
- Mentor Early Career Professionals on-site.
- High School Diploma or equivalent (required).
- Minimum 10 years' experience in multi-discipline construction (15+ years preferred):
Civil, Structural, Mechanical/Piping, Scaffolding, Electrical & Instrumentation, Insulation/Painting. - Marine environment experience, Hot/Cold Taps, and Pile installation experience desired.
- Demonstrated computer skills: Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Excel.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Valid Driver's License.
- Familiarity with OSHA 1910 and OSHA 1926 standards required.
- Valid TWIC card or able to obtain within 30 days of hire (MANDATORY).
- Willingness and ability to work beyond 40 hours/week.
