Why you should apply to be a Coating Operator:
  • Location: Worcester, MA

  • Pay Rate: $22/hour

  • Employment: 6-month contract

  • Shift: Monday–Friday, 2:30 PM – 11:00 PM

What's a typical day as a Coating Operator? You will:
  • Apply silicone, non-silicone, and adhesive coatings to films or laminates according to work orders and customer specifications.

  • Operate various coating machines, using hand tools and hydraulic lifts for setup, loading, and unloading materials.

  • Perform equipment checks, verify machine settings (temperature, airflow, speed, threading), and ensure coating consistency.

  • Conduct visual inspections and basic quality testing to confirm product compliance with standards.

  • Record materials and production data in the QAD system for accurate inventory management.

  • Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized workspace in accordance with 5S principles.

  • Assist with machinery setup, breakdown, and preventive maintenance as needed.

This job might be an outstanding fit if you have:
  • A high school diploma or GED, or equivalent experience.

  • 12–18 months of coating machine or manufacturing experience to work independently.

  • Ability to lift/move up to 70 lbs. (and up to 200 lbs. with assistance).

  • Strong attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and basic math and computer skills.

  • Comfort working in a manufacturing environment with exposure to heat, mechanical parts, and moderate-to-loud noise levels.
