Job Posting: CNC Machine Operators (Weekends 1st shift / SMD)

Location: Sherman
Job Type: Full-Time
Shift: Weekends (Fri, Sat, Sun, 4a to 4:30pm) 
Machine: New SMD
Pay: $21.00

Key Job Elements:
We are seeking skilled CNC Machine Operators. In this role, you will be responsible for operating CNC machines to manufacture parts and rail according to specifications as part of the production process for railroad track and turnout assemblies. Your duties will include:

  • Operating CNC machines to machine parts and rail.
  • Using measuring devices to ensure accuracy and marking all rail accordingly.
  • Operating overhead cranes safely and efficiently.

Education / Training:

  • High school diploma or GED is required.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a machinist or CNC machine operator.
  • Ability to multitask and work with minimal supervision.
  • Must be able to read and write legibly and complete production reports accurately.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to inspect rail using measuring devices.
  • Quality-oriented mindset and a team player.
  • Complete understanding of safe work practices is essential.
  • Must be able to meet the requirements of a post-offer drug test, medical review, and criminal history review of misdemeanor and/or felony convictions.
