What's a typical day as a Claims Customer Service Representative? You'll be:
  • Responding to customer inquiries accurately, timely, and courteously through various channels including telephone, written, web, or walk-in inquiries.
  • Reviewing and adjudicating claims and/or non-medical appeals, determining whether to return, deny, or pay claims based on organizational policies and procedures.
  • Identifying and processing adjustments for incorrectly processed claims according to department guidelines.

This job might be an outstanding fit if you:
  • Have a High School Diploma or equivalent and possess 2 years of customer service experience, including 1 year of claims or appeals processing; or a Bachelor's Degree in lieu of work experience.
  • Exhibit strong verbal and written communication skills, and have good spelling, punctuation, and grammar skills.
  • Are proficient in basic business math and can handle confidential or sensitive information with discretion.
