Salary/Pay Rate/Compensation: $17 per hour
What's a typical day like as a Maintenance Technician? You'll be:
• Performing assigned preventative maintenance tasks and minor mechanical repairs on material handling and other Distribution Center equipment.
• Using preventative maintenance worksheets generated by the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to maintain distribution machinery and equipment in accordance with manufacturer recommendations and good maintenance practices.
• Maintaining efficient operation of material handling equipment by clearing jams and removing foreign materials.
• Performing general building maintenance tasks as directed, such as light fixture replacement, simple construction, wiring, garage door repair, and plumbing among others.
This job may be a perfect fit for you if:
• You have an Industrial or Maintenance Technician Degree and at least 2 years of maintenance experience in a facilities, distribution, and/or manufacturing environment.
• You have knowledge of industrial electricity, including single and three-phase power, motors, protective devices, and/or photo sensors.
• You have at least 6 months of experience with hand and power tools (such as drills, fasteners, and saws) in a facilities, distribution, and/or manufacturing environment.
• You have experience as Handyman
• You are willing and able to climb up to the 100-foot level to perform repairs with or without reasonable accommodations.
• You are willing and able to lift parts and tools weighing up to 80 pounds with or without reasonable accommodations.
• You are willing and able to perform tasks that include repetitive bending, stooping, kneeling, reaching, twisting, sitting, standing, and walking with or without reasonable accommodations.
• Full bilingual in Spanish and English (interview will be in English)
