Kelly Engineering has a GREAT opportunity for a BuyerExpeditor located in Minnetonka, MN!

Job Skills
To support Procurement Fulfillment team from Purchase requisition to Vendor Payment.

Long-term contract with pay up to $25/hr depending on experience.

Role Details:
As an Order Fulfillment Buyer/ Expeditor within the Sourcing team, you will interact with PSI, Plant Production, Logistics, Category Management, Sourcing, quality assurance, accounts payable, and suppliers to help support production activities and schedules.
You will be responsible for purchase orders and their contents from the moment they are issued until they are closed out i.e. setting contract terms, maintaining Outline Agreements, order confirmation, Expediting deliveries, maintaining accurate delivery dates in SAP, Coordinating with Logistics, resolving any payment issues to the supplier, financial tracking of costs recognition, and any other tasks as assigned by the manager

Minimum requirements:
Bachelor s degree or international equivalent in an applicable or related field to Sourcing/Procurement/Supply Chain/ Business Administration

-and/or-
5 years minimum experience in increasing roles in purchasing, expediting or supply chain.

Useful skills or abilities:

  • The ideal candidate will be or possess: Self-governed and motivated to perform tasks within established guidelines
  • Participates in the planning, scheduling and production control of the project. Highly organized with the ability to multitask and deal with rapidly changing priorities/ambiguity
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to interact effectively with senior management and customers
  • Problem solving and research skills Identifies under performing or non-performing suppliers during the project life cycle.
  • Time management skills
  • Capable of working in a team, prioritizing, multi-tasking, and organizing.
  • Flexible and adaptable to ever changing priorities.
  • Proficient in MS Excel, Outlook, and Word SAP
  • Knowledge Excellent Expediting Skills

Preferred skills:
  • Strong Equipment Background International and domestic logistics
  • Familiarity with purchase order conditions
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, presentation and facilitation skills
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills
  • Ability to cope with multiple complex situations daily
  • Good Negotiator Tasks to be Performed:
    • Interface with suppliers to ensure PO is received/acknowledged, schedule received, and ship date is met.
    • Ensure planned ship date aligns with production needs and, if not, work with supplier to improve delivery.
    • Follow-up with email correspondence in an organized and timely fashion
    • Manages Quarterly Price Adjustments and maintain Outline Agreements
    • Placing Po's
    • Expediting Work with Category Management
    • Ensure Master Data is accurate Invoice resolution
    • Logistic bookings and follow up where required
    • Support plants
