Job Title: Clerk I / Cashier (Bilingual - English/Spanish Preferred)
Location: northeast Houston 77013 
Schedule:

  • Monday–Friday: 8:00 AM – 5:30 PM (start time may vary) & Saturday: 8:00 AM – 1:00 PM

  • Pay: 19 hr
    Job Type: Full-Time

Position Summary:

We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Clerk I / Cashier to join our front-office team. The ideal candidate will be bilingual (English/Spanish), comfortable handling cash transactions, and proficient in data entry—particularly using Microsoft Excel. This is a customer-facing role that also includes administrative responsibilities, requiring strong communication skills and a professional demeanor.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Answer incoming phone calls, direct calls, and take messages

  • Greet and direct visitors and customers professionally

  • Receive, sort, and distribute incoming mail and deliveries

  • Collect payments (cash, checks, credit cards) and issue receipts

  • Maintain accuracy when processing and reconciling payments

  • Perform data entry in Excel and maintain accurate records

  • Operate office equipment (copier, fax, credit card machine, etc.)

  • Resolve or refer customer concerns to appropriate staff

  • Maintain a clean and organized cashier station

  • Follow company safety procedures and report incidents promptly

  • Assist with other administrative duties as assigned

Job Requirements:
  • Bilingual: Fluent in English and Spanish (spoken)

  • High attention to detail and accuracy in handling cash

  • Experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook

  • Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills

  • Ability to operate standard office and cashier equipment

  • Must be flexible to work varied schedules including weekends

  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to lift/carry up to 25 lbs and perform physical tasks such as standing, twisting, and kneeling
