Automotive Engineering Technician at NISSAN
LONG TERM CONTRACT - SEVERAL YEARS

- Remove and install prototype parts and complete other setup related items for a vehicle crash test.
- Install instrumentation, targets, mass, and other items required per test parameters.
- Setting up a measurement coordinate system using a CMM to make accurate and repeatable measurements for pretest and posttest activities.
- Removing and inspecting components from crashed prototype test vehicle.
- Documenting results using photographs, written communication, and measurements
- Collaborate with a team to ensure readiness of the test vehicles, equipment, and instruments
- Compete other tasks as requested by lab supervisor
Who Were Looking for:
- List of required skills and qualifications no more than 3-5 Associates degree in an automotive related discipline plus 2 years of test technician experience or equivalent required.
- Will consider 6 years test Technician experience in a Test Lab in lieu of an associate s degree.
- Experience installing accelerometers, string pots, contact switches, and other instrumentation in a vehicle and FARO proficiencies.
- Excellent problem solving, critical thinking, and communication skills Positive attitude and demonstration of positive mindsets.
- Willingness to learn new tasks such as vehicle, static lab support, ATD Calibration, Photo/Video operations, and others is a requirement. Knowledge and experience in Dynamic Safety Crash Testing testing is desired.
