Are you passionate about ensuring the quality and safety of products? Kelly Science is seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Associate Quality Control Analyst to join our team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in supporting operations by performing analytical tests independently and accurately, adhering to strict guidelines and timelines.
Full-time
Pay: $22/hr
3rd Shift


Exposure to techniques such as HPLC or GC is preferred, with a preference for candidates with a background in chemistry.

Responsibilities:

  • Independently perform analytical tests as outlined in test procedures, ensuring precision and adherence to protocols.
  • Gather and test samples promptly within the expected timeframe, and store them appropriately to maintain integrity.
  • Collect samples of incoming supplies, in-process samples, and finished products, contributing to the thorough evaluation of product quality.
  • Execute non-routine procedures with minimal supervision, demonstrating adaptability and problem-solving skills.
  • Maintain meticulous and accurate records of all tests conducted, following company policies and record-keeping procedures to ensure traceability and compliance.
  • Adhere strictly to safety and quality guidelines, including Good Laboratory Practices and lab safety requirements, to uphold standards of excellence.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment, contributing to a culture of safety and professionalism.
  • Provide support to laboratory management by maintaining a communication log and transferring information to facilitate seamless operations and meet customer requirements.
  • Assist in maintaining the validated state of the lab, contributing to the continuous improvement and reliability of laboratory processes.
  • Aid in the maintenance of equipment, including routine maintenance and troubleshooting of common or simple problems with instruments, ensuring smooth operations.
  • Collaborate effectively as part of a technical group in a multi-cultural and diverse work environment, working towards shared goals and objectives.

The Associate Quality Control Analyst position is ideal for individuals who:

  • Possess the ability to follow both verbal and written instructions with precision and attention to detail.
  • Are available for some weekend and after-hour coverage, demonstrating flexibility and commitment to supporting operational needs.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Food Science, Chemistry, or related sciences, providing a solid foundation in analytical techniques and principles.
  • Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and other relevant software applications.
  • Ability to thrive in a diverse team environment, fostering collaboration and cooperation among team members to achieve common objectives.
