Associate Product Safety and Quality Assurance Analyst
(Contract/Remote)
As an Associate Product Safety and Quality Assurance (PSQA) Analyst, you'll work closely with the PSQA Team. Your primary focus will be supporting the development, documentation, execution, and review of Quality and Product Safety testing for Exclusive Brands (EB) product development. This role is essential for ensuring all products consistently meet Whole Foods Market's core values, high-quality standards, and brand expectations.
Key Responsibilities
Testing & Specification Management:
- Help create, review, and edit testing specifications for Exclusive Brands food, beverage, supplement, body care, and household products from both domestic and international vendors.
- Proactively assist the Testing & Product Quality teams in prioritizing and completing project work to meet established timelines.
- Provide technical assistance to suppliers as needed to ensure testing relevance, specification accuracy, and overall project success.
- Manage daily communication with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Handle follow-up on project correspondence and monitor project activity timelines and due dates.
- Work daily within the Product Life Cycle Management (PLM) system to update and evaluate product specifications for completeness.
- Monitor for significant supplier specification changes within the PLM system.
- Evaluate and summarize test results, technical document specifications, and other supporting documentation (e.g., shelf-life validations, technical literature) to aid in product testing development, product launch approval, and ongoing product maintenance.
- Review product label art to ensure claims and other product attributes align with technical specifications.
- Review pre-production testing and first production testing results for compliance with Whole Foods Market specifications.
- Escalate out-of-specification results or significant supplier specification changes to a PSQA for review.
- Track and trend test results and non-conformances using spreadsheets, PLM, or Quality Management Systems (QMS) based on current processes.
- Assist with ad hoc tasks for the Testing and Product Quality teams.
