About the Role
Join a world-class leader in the Aerospace, Defense, and Marine industry. We're looking for an Assembly Operator I to join our Rugged Fiber Optics team.
As an Assembly Operator, you'll be responsible for assembling, polishing, and testing high-precision fiber optic components used in critical aerospace applications. You'll work hands-on with small parts, hand tools, and microscopes while following detailed work instructions to ensure every product meets the highest standards of quality and reliability.

Key Responsibilities

Assemble and package fiber optic connector components with accuracy and attention to detail.

Polish and test single and multi-fiber cables to meet quality standards.

Use measuring tools such as calipers, gauges, and microscopes to inspect components.

Perform quality checks and ensure work meets engineering drawings and specifications.

Complete operational paperwork to maintain product traceability.

Troubleshoot and perform minor equipment adjustments or repairs when needed.

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area following TE Connectivity's EH&S policies.

Follow all standard operating procedures and work instructions.

Participate in team efforts to meet production goals and continuous improvement initiatives.
 
Qualifications
-  
High School Diploma or GED required.
 
-  
1+ year of manufacturing or assembly experience preferred.
 
-  
Previous experience working with fiber optic cables or precision assembly is a plus.

Familiarity with SAP Manufacturing Systems and ISO 9001 processes preferred.

Basic knowledge of hand tools, blueprint reading, and measuring instruments.

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, remain in a stationary position for extended periods, and move between work zones.

Must be able to read, write, and follow instructions in English.

Strong attention to detail, hand–eye coordination, and teamwork.
