About the Role 

Join a world-class leader in the Aerospace, Defense, and Marine industry. We're looking for an Assembly Operator I to join our Rugged Fiber Optics team. 

As an Assembly Operator, you'll be responsible for assembling, polishing, and testing high-precision fiber optic components used in critical aerospace applications. You'll work hands-on with small parts, hand tools, and microscopes while following detailed work instructions to ensure every product meets the highest standards of quality and reliability.

Key Responsibilities 

• Assemble and package fiber optic connector components with accuracy and attention to detail. 

• Polish and test single and multi-fiber cables to meet quality standards. 

• Use measuring tools such as calipers, gauges, and microscopes to inspect components. 

• Perform quality checks and ensure work meets engineering drawings and specifications. 

• Complete operational paperwork to maintain product traceability. 

• Troubleshoot and perform minor equipment adjustments or repairs when needed. 

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area following TE Connectivity's EH&S policies. 

• Follow all standard operating procedures and work instructions. 

• Participate in team efforts to meet production goals and continuous improvement initiatives. 

Qualifications 

• High School Diploma or GED required. 

• 1+ year of manufacturing or assembly experience preferred. 

• Previous experience working with fiber optic cables or precision assembly is a plus. 

• Familiarity with SAP Manufacturing Systems and ISO 9001 processes preferred. 

• Basic knowledge of hand tools, blueprint reading, and measuring instruments. 

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, remain in a stationary position for extended periods, and move between work zones. 

• Must be able to read, write, and follow instructions in English. 

• Strong attention to detail, hand–eye coordination, and teamwork. 

• Safety- and quality-driven mindset with accountability for individual performance.
