Job Title: Assembler II
Type: Temp
Location: San Jose, CA
Pay Rate: $19.80/hr. - $23.85/hr.
Schedule: Monday-Thursday, plus Friday overtime as needed 5:00 AM - 3:30 PM
Overtime: Required, as needed
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- 1 to 2 years of medical device assembly or ISO certified assembly experience required.
- If no diploma, must have 2 to 3 years of relevant assembly experience.
- Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors, leads, and team members (telephone, email, or in person).
- Capable of understanding verbal and written work instructions.
- Basic mathematical skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide).
- Ability to work in a clean room environment, following all required practices and procedures.
- Comfortable with repetitive work, set procedures, and set pace.
- Knowledge of Good Documentation Practice, Good Manufacturing Practices, and Lean Manufacturing preferred.
- Must maintain confidentiality of documents and processes.
- Excellent fine motor skills, dexterity, and hand/eye coordination for working with small parts and subassemblies.
- Ability to operate manufacturing and measurement equipment following appropriate training, including but not limited to: microscopes, test equipment, EFDs, ultrasonic welders, soldering irons, dial calipers, pressure gauges, and rulers.
- Basic MS Windows skills and ability to use site-specific PC programs after training.
Responsibilities:
- Perform assembly of medical devices on multiple product lines, meeting quantity standards.
- Understand and follow written procedures under Quality System Policies.
- Maintain accurate records of manufacturing operations (Device History Records, Data Sheets, Lot Control).
- Carry out instructions regarding priorities, work schedules, special assignments, and standards.
- Learn and adapt to new procedures and technologies.
- May cross-train on various product operations and assist in training others.
- Support LEAN Manufacturing principles and ongoing improvement efforts.
- Report material shortages as needed.
- Ensure a safe and clean work environment, following all safety guidelines and policies.
- Adhere to attendance standards; work overtime and varying shifts as required.
- Use work time constructively and avoid disruptions.
- Participate in Shared Leadership activities (such as Kanban management, calibration, metrics board maintenance).
- Perform other duties as assigned
