Job Specifications:
- Job Type: Full-time
- Location: Portage, MI
- Pay Rate: $18.00 per hour
- Shift: 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive administrative support to the department or individual.
- Manage word processing, filing, faxing, and answering phones.
- Receive and direct visitors, ensuring a welcoming environment.
- Schedule meetings and conferences, coordinating all necessary logistics.
- Maintain financial records and assist in the procurement of supplies.
- Sort and distribute mail efficiently.
- Work on special projects as assigned.
- Maintain accurate case documentation in a service center environment.
- Monitor, update, and manage shared email boxes daily.
- Generate, route, and file required documents according to established schedules.
- Respond to routine departmental inquiries and general customer requests.
- Upload documentation into various systems, including record retention systems.
Qualifications & Skills:
- 1+ year of experience in an administrative role; experience in worker's compensation or leaves of absence administration is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Familiarity with case management systems or complex data management programs preferred.
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to take initiative, learn new processes, and improve existing workflows.
- Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
- Strong customer service orientation and dedication to supporting team goals.
