Accounts Receivable Specialist
Pay Rate: $26-28/hour
Location: Troy, Michigan
Position Type: Temporary-to-Hire
Kelly Services has partnered with a premier company in the housing industry to hire an Accounts Receivable Specialist for their team. The primary focus of the Accounts Receivable Specialist is to support operations and ensure data integrity within the organization while adhering to the Accounts Receivable guidelines. This position is an integral part of the company's initiative to successfully work cross-functionally within the organization on a daily basis to research, resolve, and process accounts receivables activities. Responsibilities:
- Perform all accounts receivable functions, ensuring timely and accurate processing through various finance, cash application, and invoicing related activities
- Support the month end close processes
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve discrepancies and ensure resolution that supports key objectives
- Ensure data accuracy, completeness, and consistency across all systems and databases
- Complete regular data reconciliations to identify and correct discrepancies
- Support standardization across Shared Services processes by optimizing processes and implementing best practices
- Serve as the primary point of contact for AR related inquiries and issues
- Ensure thorough documentation of key tasks and processes
- Ensure all required SOX controls are followed throughout the end-to-end process and support the internal/external audit
- Provide insights and recommendations for continuous improvement
- Support ad hoc requests from various teams
- Support other accounts receivable roles, when required
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
- 3 - 5 years of experience in Accounts Receivable or related fields
- Ability to multi-task, well organized and a self-starter
- Detail oriented, professional attitude, reliable
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
- Ability to interact cross functionally with employees and customers in a professional manner
- Microsoft Office skills with particular emphasis on demonstrated proficiency in Excel
- Experience with ERP systems, particularly Microsoft Navision and Oracle
- Experience with Accounts Receivable and the Shared Service Environment is a plus
