Are you ready to grow your accounting career in a dynamic, fast-paced environment? We're seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accountant to join our finance team in Edison, New Jersey. This hybrid role offers the opportunity to work on a wide range of accounting responsibilities while collaborating with cross-functional teams across operations, supply chain, and finance.
If you enjoy digging into financial data, reconciling accounts, and helping streamline processes that impact the bottom line, this is the role for you.
 
What You'll Do:

  • Maintain general ledger integrity and prepare accurate journal entries (monthly/weekly AJE)
  • Perform account reconciliations, including cash accounts
  • Support the month-end close process and assist in preparing financial statements
  • Review and process accounts payable/receivable, cash receipts, and sub-ledger reconciliations
  • Investigate budget variances and generate monthly reports for departments
  • Coordinate and maintain business credit insurance and Certificates of Insurance
  • Assist with audit preparation and create schedules for auditors
  • Calculate and report commissions and update item costs as needed
  • Manage rebate programs: validate claims, calculate accruals, and forecast payments
  • Research, resolve, and track chargebacks and customer deductions
  • Work with IT to enhance rebate management systems (D365 ERP)
  • Review and maintain up-to-date customer contracts
 
You Bring:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 2–3 years of accounting experience (manufacturing industry preferred)
  • Experience with ERP systems; Microsoft Dynamics 365 is a plus
  • Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, formulas)
  • Understanding of financial statements and general ledger processes
  • Experience with customer rebates and contract reviews is a strong advantage
  • Familiarity with Power BI or reporting tools is a plus
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
