2nd & 3rd shift Industrial Mechanic
Location: Wharton, NJ
Pay Range: $30 – $35 per hour (based on experience)
2nd Shift hours: 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM
3rd Shift hours : 10:00 PM – 6:30 AM

Position OverviewAs an Industrial Mechanic, you will play a critical role in maintaining and repairing high-speed manufacturing equipment. You'll be responsible for ensuring minimal downtime, performing preventive maintenance, and supporting food safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities- Adhere to all health, safety, and GMP policies, including wearing required PPE.
- Ensure compliance with food safety and quality standards (SQF).
- Perform scheduled preventive and proactive maintenance to avoid equipment breakdowns.
- Respond to line stoppages and troubleshoot mechanical/electrical issues.
- Prioritize and complete maintenance tasks using CMMS documentation.
- Inspect, repair, and maintain industrial machinery and equipment.
- Use diagnostic tools (e.g., voltmeters) to identify and resolve issues.
- Operate repaired equipment to verify functionality.
- Support continuous improvement and equipment reliability initiatives.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
- Ability to read and interpret safety and maintenance documentation.
- Strong math skills (basic arithmetic, fractions, decimals).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
- Flexibility to work alternate hours as needed.
- Self-motivated, decisive, and proactive.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to analyze data and identify trends.
- Customer-focused and adaptable to changing demands.
- Capable of working independently and under pressure.
- Minimum 4 years of experience in industrial manufacturing maintenance.
- Proven electrical/electronic troubleshooting and repair skills.
- Must pass a Mechanical/Electrical Skills and Aptitude Assessment.
- Continuous standing or walking; moderate lifting required.
- Repetitive work environment with moderate sensory attention.
- High mental stress due to deadlines and production demands.
- Ability to work in hot/cold seasonal environments.
- Minimal travel may be required for training purposes.
