1st & 2nd Shift Maintenance Supervisor
Location: Wharton, NJ 
Salary Range:
$90,000 – $110,000 based on experience 
1st shift hours: 5:30 AM – 3:30 PM
2nd shift hours: 1:30pm - 11:30pm
(hours may vary based on production needs; alternating weekends required)
Benefits: Full benefits package + $31.75/month cell phone allowance

The Maintenance Supervisor will lead the engineering and maintenance functions, ensuring optimal performance of equipment and facilities. This role is responsible for preventive maintenance, minimizing downtime, ensuring OSHA compliance, and managing a skilled team within budget.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Safety

  • Maintain daily work logs and document incidents.
  • Lead and participate in safety programs (LOTO, Arc Flash, confined space, etc.).
  • Conduct accident investigations and enforce safety protocols.
  • Assess team skills and coordinate training to close gaps.

Work Scheduling & Execution

  • Develop and adjust weekly work schedules based on priorities and staffing.
  • Audit work quality and ensure proper execution of maintenance tasks.
  • Collaborate with planners to scope jobs and gather necessary documentation.
  • Utilize CMMS for planning and tracking maintenance activities.

Process Improvement

  • Identify and document equipment/process improvement opportunities.
  • Act as liaison between Production and Maintenance departments.
  • Analyze equipment failures and implement corrective actions.
  • Support TPM initiatives and lead development of Asset Maintenance Plans.

Preventive Maintenance

  • Assist in developing and refining PM inspections and schedules.
  • Recommend inspection frequencies based on production metrics.
  • Support predictive maintenance and reliability improvements.
Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 4 years in high-speed manufacturing with mechanical/electrical background.
  • Strong leadership in fast-paced environments.
  • CMRP certification preferred**
  • Experience in food/beverage manufacturing is a plus.

Skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, etc.).
  • Familiarity with SQF standards and food safety/quality responsibilities.
  • Flexibility to work alternate shifts as needed.

Physical Requirements

  • Continuous standing/walking.
  • Moderate sensory attention required.
  • Repetitive work in ambient hot/cold environments.
