Kamehameha Schools is seeking a Senior Talent Management Consultant* to support KS' organizational development and effectiveness initiatives (i.e., succession management, leadership and workforce development, training, employee engagement, performance management). Ideal candidates will have proven experience with managing and implementing large-scale change programs, the ability to lead through influence, the vision and capability to execute long-term strategy, and develop programmatic solutions by leveraging HR holistically in order to meet organizational goals and objectives.

*Candidates may be hired as either a Senior Consultant or Consultant based on skill and experience level.

  

This is a Hybrid position which provides work from home flexibility on an approval basis. Job Summary

Responsible for designing, developing and facilitating enterprise-wide people and human capital strategies and programs aimed at supporting leaders and employees in their growth, understanding, and practice of E Ola!, in collaboration with others and in alignment with the organization's goals and objectives. Serves as an internal consultant with knowledge and expertise in adult learning and development, organizational development, and organizational effectiveness. Utilizes best practice project management, change management, and other OD/OE methodologies to execute programs from conception to delivery. Routinely evaluates programmatic acceptance, effectiveness, and positive impact to the business/organization. Makes recommendations based on depth of knowledge and/or specific expertise in organizational development, organizational effectiveness, leadership development, and cultural transformation that align with organizational values, culture, and change readiness.

Essential Responsibilities

General Consultation

  • Cultivates strong awareness, support, understanding, and capacity in others of E Ola!
  • Partners with other HR functions to advise clients.
  • Assists with the execution of programs by other HR functions, with an emphasis on providing communication and change management best practice support.

Customize Organizational and Client-Specific Programs/Solutions

  • Work with clients and or HR Consulting partners to develop or renew knowledge, skills, or values relative to KS or group-specific goals.
  • May also assist with strengthening groups through leading teambuilding activities.

Employee Engagement and Talent Management

  • Works with the HR leadership team and other leaders across the organization to develop and lead the execution of various programs to engage, recognize, and retain employees.
  • May also assist with the development of policies and procedures related to performance and talent management.

Program Management and Performance Improvement

  • Utilizes complex project management strategies to plan, implement, and manage programs and projects within the constraints of scope, cost, quality, time, and client expectation.
  • Responsible for designing or recommending performance improvement strategies or interventions for clients at all levels of workforce.

Training Assessment, Design, Development, and Delivery

  • Designs or procures assessments to identify client needs and evaluate program effectiveness.
  • Creates/procures and delivers training programs to address identified client needs (e.g., leadership and management development, change management, technical and non-technical job training).
Position Requirements

Minimum Qualifications - An equivalent combination of education and experience may substitute for the requirements listed.

  • Master's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Humanities, Hawaiian Studies, Education Leadership, or related fields.
  • Minimum of 10 years of related work experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of project management or related experience.
  • Demonstrates a willingness to learn the fundamentals of human resource management to ensure a basic working knowledge.
  • Demonstrates understanding of the theories and principles of adult learning and organizational development.
  • Demonstrates an understanding of the broader business implications of decisions.
  • Demonstrates critical thinking skills and ability.
  • Demonstrate ability, at an expert level, to consult with and influence leaders.
  • Demonstrates an ability to identify and recommend solutions to systemic issues.
  • Strong oral and written skills to prepare comprehensive and clear written documents, presentations, and policies.
  • Training and/or work experience guiding and consulting with individuals at all levels of the organization.
  • Knowledge of Hawaiian culture, history, and/or language.
  • Ability to manage and support leadership and staff through institutional changes associated with implemented projects.
  • Ability to travel to various locations, including neighbor islands to consult with leaders.
  • Ability to work evening and weekend hours as required to meet goals and objectives.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Project Management Professional certification.
  • Minimum of 5 years of management experience.
  • Previous experience working in an indigenous, education, or non-profit setting.
  • Understanding of Hawaiian Culture Based Education.

Physical Requirements

  • Frequently sits, perform desk-based computer tasks and grasp light or fine manipulation, talk or hear.
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, peripheral vision and ability to adjust focus.
  • Occasionally stand and/or walk, write by hand, and lift and/or carry, push and/or pull objects that weigh up to 10 pounds.
  • Rarely twist, bend, stoop, squat, kneel, crawl, climb, reach or work above shoulder, or grasp forcefully.

Working Conditions

  • This position involves traveling to various locations, including neighbor islands to consult with leaders.
  • Work is conducted in an office environment but the purpose of the work may require work to be conducted in non-standard workplaces.
  • Work is typically conducted during normal business hours Monday through Friday but evening and weekend hours may be required to meet goals and objectives.

97,600.00 - 139,300.00 Annual

Based on the compensation range provided below, salaries are commensurate with job-related experience, skills and competencies, education, internal equity, length of work year, and other organizational needs.
