Job Summary:
Under direction of Regional Imaging Quality and Compliance Manager, ensure the delivery of high quality imaging practices across the region. Interface with Regional Imaging Leadership Team, Radiologists, Clinical Quality Support Services and physicians to provide the department means for good clinical outcomes and excellent customer service. Serve as department imaging liaison.
Essential Responsibilities:


  • Develop and implement relevant policies and procedures. Provide guidance to leadership and staff representatives in the analysis, monitoring and maintenance of high levels of quality performance and regulatory compliance. Develop goals and objectives for the Regional Quality Assurance Program. Compile and analyze data to develop recommendations for quality improvement. Audit and coordinate image acquisition equipment quality control. Partner with Clinical Quality Support Services to lead regional clinical quality performance improvement; including process and outcome improvement, staff engagement, maximizing and developing measurement tools, strategic planning, accountability assignments, special project and goal development, and effective workflow practices. Execute special projects as requested by the Imaging Services Regional Quality and Compliance Manager. Guide Radiologists in the development of procedure directives and protocols. Participate in all department and regional Quality committees and project work groups.

  • Manage the participation of all Regulatory Inspections and certification processes including attending regional inspections and facilitating required follow up. Satisfy mandatory compliance with State and Federal regulatory agencies including, but not limited to ACR, FDA, TJC, OSHA, HPNW, ARRT, WA and OR State Radiation Protection Services. Facilitate regional equipment optimization. Set up and maintain scientific, data driven baselines and comparisons for all equipment used in assigned modalities. Manage each ACR renewal or new equipment accreditation process. Work closely with Imaging Physicist regarding radiation safety and/or modality safety requirements consistent with assigned activities. Represent Imaging Quality and Compliance in Regional Quality and Compliance activities and planning. Integrate quality management program objectives, compliance regulations and organizational goals into Imaging service delivery with NWP, Labor and Health Plan. Assist in new equipment selection.

  • Develop staff through the development and implementation of competency programs; creating and using performance standards in accordance of policies. Develop and implement staff training and orientation. Coordinate quality service support tasks. Provide documentation and work in partnership with Imaging Service Managers to address performance management needs of staff. Ensure accountabilities by monitoring staff, validating competence, and providing staff with the tools needed to perform effectively. Create quality and compliance auditing, and monitoring tools and reports. Area of responsibility to include multiple geographic locations.


Basic Qualifications: Experience

  • Minimum four (4) years recent experience in one or more assigned modalities.

  • Minimum two (2) years of leadership experience.

Education
  • Associates degree in an imaging program or two (2) years of experience in a directly related imaging field. High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) required.
License, Certification, Registration
  • Nuclear Medicine Technologist Certificate OR Radiologic Technologist Certification from American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
  • Drivers License (in location where applicable) required at hire
Additional Requirements:
  • Regulatory knowledge including State Radiation Protection Services statutes.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of State and Federal laws, regulatory requirements (TJC, OSHA, MQSA, FDA OBRT etc.) and professional standards of practice.
  • Demonstrated experience in project management.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience including change management and issue resolution.
  • Working knowledge of Imaging Operations, Organization, and Policies & Procedures.
  • Working knowledge of Imaging Computer Systems.
  • Demonstrated experience in moving groups to consensus.
  • Demonstrated experience in analytical problem solving.
  • Flexibility.
  • Self directed.
  • Vehicle required upon hire/transfer.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Specialty certification(s) from ARRT based on assigned modalities.
  • CPHQ (Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality) or CHC (Certificate in Healthcare Compliance) certification.
  • Working knowledge of business computer systems/software.
  • Understanding of imaging procedures and technology specific to assigned modalities.
  • Proven ability to successfully train and coach people.
  • Aptitude for strategic thinking.
  • Knowledge of industry technology and trends.
  • Bachelors degree in an imaging program or health care related field.
