Description

The Stepping Stones Group is seeking Special Education Teachers to join our team in Oak Forest, IL!

Job Details:

  • Full-Time: 35 hours/week 
  • Age Group: 2nd- 4th Grade (This classroom is co-taught with a SLP!)
  • Caseload: Communication Development Program 
  • Utilize specialized teaching strategies and tools to enhance learning and engagement for students.
  • Collaborate closely with general education teachers, therapists, families, and other professionals to promote student success and integration into broader educational settings.
  • Conduct assessments to monitor student progress and adjust instructional methods accordingly.
  • Foster a nurturing classroom atmosphere that promotes respect, empathy, and self-confidence among students.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Special Education from an accredited institution
  • Valid certification for Special Education Teaching
  • LBS1
  • Demonstrated experience working with children and adolescents in a school setting, with a strong emphasis on supporting those with special needs.
