JOB TITLE: Senior Scientific & Regulatory Consultant, Health Claims
SALARY: Up to $100,000 CAD/ year with added bonus eligibility and competitive benefits
JOB LOCATION: Mississauga, Canada; remote work opportunity
DURATION: Fulltime
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:
§Ph.D. in Nutrition, Public Health Nutrition, Epidemiology, Cellular or Molecular Biology, Fermentation Science, or related regulatory science with 5+ years of industry experience, or an M.Sc. in Nutrition (or related field) with 7+ years of industry experience. §Expert in evidence-based reviews and food/supplement claims regulations, with additional specialization in clinical trial conduct desired. Recognized as an emerging leader with a strong scientific background. §Proficient in networking, customer service, communication (verbal and written), organization, and time management. Skilled in business writing, problem-solving, and achieving financial objectives. §Experienced in Microsoft Office and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment. Available to work remotely or in Mississauga, Ontario.JOB DESCRIPTION:
•Apply knowledge of regulations and regulatory processes related to health claims and structure/function claims in daily work, understanding how federal agencies interpret and enforce them. •Determine detailed approaches to problem resolution based on prior experience and applicable standards; decide on relevant research methods and study types. •Lead project teams, utilizing strong organizational and planning skills in multidisciplinary environments. •Manage projects by addressing key issues, assigning tasks, guiding junior staff, ensuring focus on client needs, and delivering reports on time and within budget. •Act as senior leader, supporting team goals and contributing to junior staff development. •Build and maintain regulatory relationships with clients, stakeholders, and government bodies to promote Intertek's mission of quality assurance and scientific excellence. •Develop client relationships and identify new business opportunities through ongoing collaboration and independent project work. •Leverage industry network, including trade associations and regulatory contacts, to resolve issues and promote services. •Identify new customer segments and business opportunities both within and outside the current client base. •Maintain professional expertise and contribute to scientific discussions, offering innovative solutions to complex issues.
