Description
Base Metallurgical Laboratories (Base Met Labs) has a fully integrated mineral processing laboratory, incorporating both metallurgical and analytical capabilities. This ensures rapid turnaround times on our testwork programs. Our facility, located in Kamloops, BC, boasts some of the world's most experienced metallurgists with regards to flotation and cyanidation process flowsheet development and interpretation of mineralogical analyses.
Specific Responsibilities:
- Working with a team of skilled engineers and under the supervision of a senior metallurgist
- Manage projects, which include the following activities:
o Bid preparation
o Client interaction
o Complete metallurgical balances and communicate data to the clients
o Analyze data and determine direction of the testing program based upon the results
o Upon completion of the test program, analyze and present the data in a format suitable for using in the project final report
o Write final technical reports for projects under management and projects managed by others if needed
o Complete invoices each month - Assist with set-up and layout of equipment and tests
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mineral Processing, Extractive Metallurgy or Chemical Engineering
- Eligible to register in EIT program
- Metallurgical testing in a laboratory setting is required
- Demonstrated leadership skills
- Good communication skills with well-developed written and oral skills
Salary & Benefits Information
The salary range for this position is $70,000.00 to $100,000.00 per year. Individual compensation packages are based on a variety of factors unique to each candidate including skill set, experience, qualifications, and other job-related reasons. In addition to competitive compensation packages, Intertek (BML) employees are eligible for a variety of benefits including vacation, paid sick days, medical benefits and more.
