Professional Service Industries, Inc. (Intertek-PSI) is a leading US based provider of construction assurance, testing and inspection in civil and commercial construction. Our broad service offering includes construction materials testing, geotechnical services, environmental engineering, industrial hygiene, and specialty testing. 

Salary & Benefits Information

The salary range for this position is $90,000 - $120,000. Individual compensation packages are based on a variety of factors unique to each candidate including skill set, experience, qualifications, and other job-related reasons.

What you'll do:

We are looking for an IT Applications Delivery Manager to lead the development, support and future roadmap of key IT business applications at Intertek/PSI. Applications cover operational processes (inspection, testing, certification) as well as back-office (Finance, HR). Some applications are bespoke (.NET) while some are commercial off the shelf (e.g. Lawson, SpectraQest)

This IT Applications Delivery Manager will manage a small team and leverage partnerships with external vendors.

 Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop a team of IT professionals.
  • Work with business and IT leaders to develop a strategic IT roadmap for key applications.
  • Interview business users, develop and write detailed business and functional requirements documentation, and workflow diagrams to support application development and adoption.
  • Evaluate and lead ongoing reviews of business processes, anticipate requirements, uncover areas for improvement, develop optimization strategies and deliver on solutions.
  • Conduct meetings and presentations to document the results of your efforts, share ideas and findings.
  • Derive technical requirements for the development team, identify risks, assist with scheduling and prioritizing development tasks, and coordinating delivery.
  • Assist technical team in understanding reported issues and providing adequate information and research to facilitate bug fixes.
  • Manage QA and UAT processes and provide and/or manage general training and guidance for all users (internal and external where appropriate).
  • Ensure that every critical application has a technology roadmap. Ensure upgrade paths (or alternatives) are documented to ensure infrastructure & application components are under support.
  • Ensure compliance with service management governance standards and policies.
  • Adopt and follow Group IT policies and practices (upgrades, patching,) comply with Intertek's Group compliance framework (Core Mandatory Controls), and factor activities in team planning.
  • Ensure design documentation exists for all applications and integrations with other systems.
  • Coordinate release approval through the Change Control Board.
  • Manage Vendors ensuring contracts are created, maintained, and fit within company guidelines.
  • Monitor health of the IT estate (applications, infrastructure), address and report issues. Work with IT Infrastructure counterpart or third-party vendor, as required.
  • Report on service level performance, define and manage improvement plans as necessary.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree and 3-5 years of experience in computer science, information technology, or related field OR High School Diploma or Equivalent and 5 or more years of experience in the Application Design and Development area
