What are we looking for?

The Communications Coordinator supports stakeholder communications, meeting coordination, and public relations efforts, while assisting with event planning and departmental objectives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Shift/Schedule: M-F 8-5

What you'll do:

  • Monitor and provide regular updates for client, public relations and legislative activities
  • Schedule, coordinate, and support internal and external meetings
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with key industry stakeholders, including insurers, distributors, manufacturers, trade schools, and others to support training and issue resolution
  • Assist local and remote managers with meeting preparations 
  • Coordinate meetings involving clients, participants, and labs
  • Draft and communicate updates, procedures, and relevant information to stakeholders through memos or calls
  • Organize, attend, and actively participate in industry-related events and meetings
  • Support coordination of lab tours for public and industry visitors
  • Contribute to the development and execution of departmental goals and objectives
  • Help ensure efficient and productive completion of required deliverables and board interactions
  • Maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment as needed
  • Promote a positive and collaborative work environment
  • Provide cross-functional support during staff absences or high-demand periods
  • Perform additional administrative duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements & Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree in related field; Public Relations, Communications, Business Administration is desired; or equivalent relevant work experience will also be considered
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in related field.
  • Project management experience
  • Ability to communicate and interact effectively in verbal, written and presentation formats.
  • Ability to plan, organize, and complete a variety of projects within established standards, objectives and time frames.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel and other software used within the department.
  • Be aware of, and adhere to, safety practices and policies to ensure your own safety, as well as the safety of others who may be affected by your actions at work
  • Ability to work in fast-paced, multi-tasking environment with shifting priorities and demanding deadlines
  • Must be detailed-oriented and able to effectively prioritize and organize workload, with efficient time management 
  • Ability to communicate and interact effectively in verbal written and presentation formats
  • Must possess the fundamental technical and administrative skills required to perform the job duties
  • Must be customer focused and quality driven
  • Ability to travel as business needs dictate
