What we are looking for?
As a Business Development Representative at Intertek Alchemy, you will play a key role in driving growth by identifying and generating new business opportunities. You will be responsible for engaging with potential customers, understanding their needs, and positioning Alchemy's offerings as the ideal solution to their challenges. This position is ideal for a highly motivated, results-driven individual with a passion for sales and business development.
What you'll do:
- Identify and research potential key decision-makers within target accounts.
- Develop and execute strategies to generate new business leads through cold calling, email campaigns, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and trade shows.
- Clearly and persuasively deliver the value proposition to various audiences, including C-Level executives.
- Communicate the value of Alchemy's products and services through phone, email, and social selling.
- Build strong relationships with potential customers through consistent follow-up and value-added communication.
- Partner closely with Account Executives to develop engagement strategies for prospect accounts to drive revenue goals and book meetings.
- Track and report on key metrics such as lead conversion rates, sales pipeline development, and business development performance.
- Utilize CRM tools to maintain accurate records of all interactions with potential customers.
- Maintain a working knowledge of Alchemy's services and internal operational processes.
- Ensure achievement of key activity KPIs.
- Maintain expertise in Alchemy's products and services.
Minimum Requirements & Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of business development or inside sales experience.
- At least 1 year of experience selling a SaaS solution into a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of business applications such as HCM/HRIS, CRM, and eCommerce.
- Advanced knowledge of sales methodologies.
- Superior communication skills to execute sales transactions and resolve issues effectively.
- Professional demeanor when interacting with internal and external clients, peers, and management.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong customer orientation and problem-solving abilities.
- Proven presentation and negotiation skills.
- Experience selling solutions in the food manufacturing industry is a plus.
- Bachelor's degree in business or related field, or equivalent work experience.
