Job Responsibilities:
- Project Support: The Intern will be responsible for assisting with the continued growth and development of the Vendor, Problem and Inventory Management strategies and initiatives, which include process optimization and continuous improvement. The Intern will be successful at leveraging their skills to perform analysis of metrics and KPI data, identify industry standards and best practices gaps, identify improvement and automation opportunities, and assist in developing Use Cases for solution implementation within our tools and processes
- Communication Management: Coordinate working sessions and other project meetings and maintain tracking of progress of all initiatives and communicating results to stakeholders at a regular cadence.
- Optional: Attend and engage in events hosted by various Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) that champion and promote Diversity, Equality, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEIB) at Intelsat.

12 Week Schedule:
Week 1-3: Learn and Explore
- Team Intros: Meet the teams and get to know our stakeholders.
- Onboarding Tools access: Complete general New Hire access and function-specific access
- Production Tools and Process overview: Get an overview of ServiceNow and its features utilized by Intelsat, and the relationship of upstream and downstream operations and analytics reporting tools. Complete overview of Problem, Vendor, and Inventory Management processes
- Project Awareness and Initiation: Get an overview of the Operations Compliance project (underway), and understanding of Intern's responsibilities within project scope and start gathering and documenting requirements for assigned initiative(s). Create draft of project plan specific to Intern's initiatives and objectives
Week 4-6: Plan and Execute
- Plan and Prep: Finalize project plan
- Analyze: Conduct necessary data analysis to assess scope of tasks/problems and devise solution proposal
- Collaborate & Execute: Work with teams to assess feasibility of proposed solutions and to schedule and implement the new enhancements
- UAT Tester: Perform User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to ensure everything is running as expected.
Week 7-10: Communication Champion
- Content Creator: Create awesome reference guides to facilitate training and learning.
- Knowledge Share: Communicate and train users on upcoming system updates.
Week 10-12: Monitor and Close
- Release Support: Monitor the results of the system updates in the Production environment.
- Collect Feedback: Gather feedback from Users and report possible defects or additional improvements ideas.
- Road Map Architect: Develop a Road Map for upcoming requirements and enhancements.
- Celebrate Success: Enjoy a celebration for each successful implementation that further enhances the tool!
Minimum Requirements:
- Eligible candidates must be one of the following:
- Part-time or full-time students who have completed 24+ credit hours (rising sophomores/juniors/seniors) and are enrolled in an undergraduate program at an accredited college or university; Part-time or full-time students enrolled in a graduate program at an accredited college or university
- May 2025 graduate
- Ability to exercise sound judgment, professionalism, and maturity in the workplace
- Effective communicator in both written and spoken English
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Proficiency in use of MSOffice Suite
- 3.0 GPA or above preferred
- This role is subject to ITAR/EAR; candidates must be a US Person (this includes US Citizen, Permanent Resident or Protected Individual such as an asylee or refugee).
Summer Intern Program Description:
- Paid ; 12 weeks starting on Monday, May 26, 2025 through August 15, 2025
- Schedule - 40 hours/week, Monday- Friday, 9 – 5 or regular core hours
- Hybrid environment (minimum 3 days in office location)
