**Job Summary:**
The Senior Living Bus Driver will be responsible for safely transporting residents to designated destinations, including medical appointments, recreational activities, and scheduled outings. The successful candidate will demonstrate a commitment to providing excellent service, ensuring the safety and comfort of all passengers, and maintaining the vehicle in compliance with safety regulations.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Safely drive residents to and from various destinations, ensuring timely arrivals and departures.
- Assist residents with boarding and disembarking from the bus, including helping with mobility aids when necessary.
- Maintain a clean and organized bus interior, following all safety and sanitation protocols.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with residents and their families, fostering a friendly and supportive environment.
- Communicate effectively with the senior living team regarding resident needs, scheduling, and transportation requests.
- Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety, maintenance, and compliance with DMV regulations.
- Report any mechanical issues or safety concerns to the appropriate personnel promptly.
- Collaborate with the activities coordinator to facilitate resident participation in scheduled outings and events.
**Qualifications:**
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in transportation or senior care is a plus.
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with passenger endorsement.
