Description

Ingram Content Group is hiring an Operations Manager to contribute to our Operations team in Jackson, TN.  The Operations Manager manages the day-to-day operation of departments within our Distribution Center while ensuring service levels, performance levels, and quality standards are meeting daily requirements.

Schedule:

  • M-F 3pm-12am, may require some flexibility in addition to occasional Saturdays

What You'll Need:

  • HS Diploma or GED
  • 3 years experience in a high volume distribution center supervising at least 25 or more employees
  • 2 years experience working with a Warehouse Management System
  • 6 months work experience which includes walking, standing, lifting/carrying, pushing/pulling, gripping/grasping, bending, squatting/kneeling, twisting/turning, climbing, crawling, reaching above shoulders, typing/keyboard

Preferred Skills:

  • 5+ years' experience in a leadership role
  • Experienced in coaching and developing team members and passionate about employee engagement
  • Skilled in problem solving and communication.

What You'll Do:

  • Manage and operate a group of departments within budgeted payroll guidelines.
  • Coach, counsel and develop a group of operations supervisors.
  • Control and manag costs for all assigned departments.
  • Analyze staffing needs and delegate work based on volume requirements in assigned departments.
  • Meet established turnover objectives.
  • Ensure customer services levels and CPU goals are met.
  • Manage progressive counseling process and ensure all associates in assigned departments are treated equally.
  • Establish back-up strategies by cross-training, analyzing volume projections and problem solving.
