Description

Ingram Content Group (ICG)is hiring for an Operations Analyst to contribute to our team in La Vergne, TN.  The Operations Analyst supports the informational, technical and analytical needs of the Logistics or Transportation areas, including corporate Logistics staff, Transportation Management and the distribution center leadership teams.  They will provide reporting on key operational performance statistics to other departments within the company, as well as assist in identifying and evaluating process improvement opportunities.

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Three years' experience in an Accountant, Operations Analyst or data analysis

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in a distribution and/or manufacturing environment
  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain or related degree

Essential Duties:

  • Provides analytical support and ad hoc reporting for Logistics, Transportation or Operations from database management systems (DBMS) or specific AS400 systems (such as PKMS, TMS, etc).
  • Provides regularly scheduled (daily, weekly, and monthly) reporting on key statistics that measure operational performance (cost per unit, order cycle time, slash rate, etc.)
  • Develops ongoing management reporting for key Operations processes.
  • Provides ad hoc reporting and analysis to assist in evaluating capital expenditures, process improvements, and cost reduction opportunities.
  • Develops new tools and reports to assist in managing distribution center or transportation operations.
  • Documents operational processes and their associated costs.
  • Assists other areas of the company to resolve operational issues, improve customer service, and reduce costs.
  • Assists in the implementation of new processes, systems, and procedures.
  • Assists in the development of the budgets for DC operations.
  • Completes special projects as assigned.

Essential Physical Demands:

  • Ability to travel 5-7 trips per year, as requested
  • Ability to read, write, speak, hear, see, think, communicate, concentrate, learn, and work
  • Ability to sit at workstation for extended periods of time
  • Ability to work effectively using a personal computer for long periods of time
  • Ability to operate computer equipment, including keyboard and monitor, phone equipment and other necessary office equipment
