Responsibilities include:

 

  • The Manager of Radiology located at the Ingalls Family Care Centers (FCC) is responsible for approximately 88 employees (approximately 68 FTE's) at five centers located in Tinley Park, Flossmoor, Calumet City, Crestwood, and South Holland.
  • The manager is responsible for imaging at all centers; which includes MR, CT, Ultrasound, Nuclear Medicine, PET, General X-ray, and Mammography services (including the Breast Center at the main hospital).
  • Three of the care centers operate year-round, 24 hours per day, 7 days per week and each support an onsite urgent aid center.
  • The Crestwood and South Holland sites only operate one x-ray room. The six modality Department supervisors at the hospital indirectly report the FCC manager.
  • The Manager of Radiology located at Ingalls Hospital is responsible for approximately 102 employees (approximately 89 FTE's.) in the Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), Computed Tomography (CT), Nuclear Medicine, Ultrasound, General X-ray, Interventional Radiology (IR) Departments. Six (6) modality Department Supervisors report directly to the Radiology Manager at the Hospital.
  • The CT, General X-ray and Ultrasound Departments operate year-round, 24 hours per day, 7 days per week.
  • The Radiology Manager works at either Ingalls Memorial Hospital or Ingalls Family Care Centers. These two individuals work collaboratively and report to the Administrative Director of Radiology

 

 

 

Required Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor's degree (BS or BA), preferably in health care, Nursing, business management or an equivalent combination of education and experience in a healthcare environment.
  • State licensure for Illinois (IEMA License) required.
  • Technical certification by ARRT or equivalent subspecialty certification of accrediting body; including but not limited to ARRT, RDMS, CNMT, and RN
  • Four years of experience in a radiology department
  • Two years minimum supervisory / management experience
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Achievement in developing, implementing, and maintaining successful customer service programs and improvements
  • Interpersonal skills necessary to work productively with all levels of hospital personnel and to facilitate the activities of a group of employees. Verbal, analytical and written skills to effectively communicate. An understanding of fiscal accountability and the monitoring/compliance with fiscal objectives. Certification/competencies relevant as determined by departments.
