The Supervisor is responsible for managing distribution center associates by treating associates and customers like family. The Supervisor keeps safety first in action and thought, sweats the details, and fosters trust by avoiding surprises and delivery on promises. Salary Range $60K to $67K Schedule: First Shift. Responsibilities: * Promotes a safe and secure environment for all associates, temporary employees, and customers' products. * Follows established operational procedures for activities such as verification of incoming and outgoing shipments, handling, and disposition of materials, and keeping warehouse inventory current. * Primarily responsible for ensuring training is completed (OSHA equipment, compliance, etc.) and records are maintained for a variety of needs including OSHA, customer, and other audits. * Manages key operational requirements within the budget and according to customers' requirements. * Builds a positive teamwork environment by listening and communicating with all associates and coaching as appropriate. * Coaches and trains associates to become successful and productive including issuance of training, performance plans or counseling as necessary. * Plans, assigns, and supervises work of hourly roles including lead(s) and office support. * Meets and exceeds customer satisfaction through strong understanding of customer expectations. * Addresses and helps resolve customer complaints both verbally and written directly and indirectly. * Inputs payroll data (hours, comments) for hourly direct reports daily. Must be approved weekly. * Reviews attendance information and awards attendance incentives or issues appropriate counseling. * Able to handle accident handling (injury management, witness statements, reporting and investigation). * Interviews applicants for hourly roles and makes hiring decisions. * Maintain food safety and sanitation standards, in accordance with Food Safety Guidelines. * Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Benefits: * Industry leading benefits package * Competitive Medical, Dental, and Vision options (1st day of the next month after hire) * 401(k) with generous matching program * Vacation and sick time * Friendly and Open Door culture …and MORE * 3+ years of supervisory experience in a distribution, 3PL, or warehouse environment. * Bachelor's Degree in Logistics/Supply Chain, or general business preferred. * Experience with WMS software required; Manhattan Scale or Red Prairie a plus. * Experience with 5S and continuous improvement programs. * Strong Microsoft Office experience including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. * Experience with time keeping; ADP E-Time is a plus. * Ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment. * Able to demonstrate effective written and verbal communication skills.
