At ID Logistics, our internship program provides students with the opportunity to apply their academic understanding in a real-world, business-driven environment. This internship provides a blended approach to broaden the student’s knowledge of a Continuous Improvement/Industrial Engineering and the supply chain industry. Responsibilities * Support implementation of LEAN Management System * Promote a culture that fosters continuous improvement, innovation, and sharing best practices * Assist Continuous Improvement Leader with conducting workshops and coaching * Assist with design and implementation of Key Performance Indicator visuals * Coordinate with facility to procure required materials * Update best practices documentation * Assist local facility Continuous Improvement Projects when applicable Nice to have * Experience with project management and applying lean/six sigma techniques * Engineering experience in distribution and warehousing or in manufacturing with a focus on supply chain management * Knowledge/Experience with various WMS; Manhattan, Blue Yonder, SwissLog, LMXT, ect… * Knowledge/Experience of secondary packaging and/or manufacturing * Knowledge/Experience with updating SOPs, Leader Standard Work, or other documentation * Exposure to automated robotic and/or hybrid fulfillment systems * Knowledge/Experience with Time studies, MOST, or other Work Study methodologies * Knowledge/Experience with Labor Management Systems Term: * Summer co-op (August to December) - 20-40 hours a week Locations: * Salt Lake City Metro and surrounding areas Pay Rate: $15 - $20/hourly #IND123 * Obtained or pursuing a degree in Industrial Engineering, Industrial Technology, Mathematics, Operations Research, Supply Chain Management, or other relevant fields * Ability to develop and sustain effective working relationships with leaders to influence and align people at all levels to support performance objectives * Strong written and oral communication skills to effectively communicate thoughts and sell ideas. * Capable of working independently on multiple tasks and meet established deadlines * Knowledge of quality and safety concepts * Ability to learn quickly and take direction * Strong PC skills: Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, Excel, PowerPoint, Word * Strong math, analytical and problem-solving skills * Strong customer-focus. * Enthusiasm, idealism, creativity, and dedication to getting results * Ability to work collaboratively and independently * Ability to interact and communicate effectively across business units * Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal skills Equal Opportunity Employer Minorities/Women/Protected Veterans/Disabled
