About the Role


We’re looking for an experienced General Manager to lead and optimize all aspects of our supply chain operations at a start-up location. In this role, you’ll oversee one start-up site, ensuring operational excellence in distribution, packaging, and transportation. You’ll drive performance, safety, and profitability while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and associate development.


Location: Germantown, WI


Work Schedule: This is a full time role requiring work hours outside of normal business hours in order to support a high volume distribution center. This site will be a new start-up site and will require long hours as the site gets up and running in start-up mode.


Travel Specifics: 25% (initial travel for training at any of our other customer sites is required).


Competitive Compensation: Attractive annual salary of $125,000–$150,000 plus a performance-based bonus, with benefits including health, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) matching, and more.

What You’ll Do



  • Lead day-to-day operations across warehousing, distribution, packaging, and transportation.

  • Set and execute short- and long-term goals aligned with company objectives.

  • Ensure compliance with company, customer, and regulatory standards.

  • Manage budgets and full P&L responsibility for operations.

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service, efficiency, and profitability.

  • Oversee safety programs for associates, equipment, and property.

  • Develop staffing plans, manage labor costs, and improve retention.

  • Monitor performance metrics, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.

  • Prepare and deliver weekly and monthly operational reports.

  • Build strong relationships with customers and deliver a consistent, high-performance experience.



Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

  • 3+ years hands on experience as a General Manager in a distribution, warehousing, or logistics environment.
  • Proven ability to manage multi-site start-up environment operations with full P&L responsibility.
  • Strong leadership skills with a track record of team development and retention.
  • Proven experience exceeding customer set KPIs in a 3rd party organization.
  • Experience supporting large-scale clients, in a 3rd party organization.
  • Solid understanding of co-packing operations and high-volume food distribution.
  • Knowledge of warehouse automation and automated material handling systems.
  • Familiarity with pallet in/pallet out models.
  • Ability to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulatory requirements.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3PL (Third-Party Logistics) experience is highly desirable.
  • Background in continuous improvement initiatives and process optimization.
  • Strong analytical skills for budgeting, forecasting, and performance metrics.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with customers and internal teams.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
