Key Responsibilities: Deliver direct nursing care to patients transitioning from ICU-level acuity or requiring higher-level monitoring than provided on med-surg units Monitor and assess vital signs, telemetry, IV drips, and complex care plans Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians, respiratory therapists, case managers, and support staff Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, medications, and ongoing care Accurately document assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the electronic medical record Respond effectively to changes in patient condition and escalate care appropriately.
