Hobby Lobby Transportation is looking for a Mechanic - Co-Manager Shop Instructor to lead and develop a team of mechanics and daily operations of the shop. 

The Co-Manager will also oversee the repairs and maintenance of the company fleet owned trucks and trailers plus vendor supplied equipment compliance to DOT regulations. Maintain proper staffing levels of maintenance personnel assigned to the Oklahoma City, OK shop.  Ensure that the Mechanical facility is properly and safely maintained and consistent with the Company's overall standards.  

Essential Job Functions:

  • Plan syllabus for training of technicians based on skill level.
  • Develop classroom training materials based on technician function, (general knowledge, tool usage, future technology development).
  • Use recommended practices for ATA maintenance council development.
  • Plan technician training schedules.  Classroom hours, repeated training, total hours per individual.
  • Schedule vendors to come onsite and train technicians.
  • Develop post classroom follow up on implemented training and testing.  This includes post PM inspections on trucks and trailers.
  • Educate our technicians on SRT's in our TMW maintenance software program.


Requirements

Minimum Qualifications for Consideration:
  • High School Education or equivalent
  • 5 years' experience as a maintenance manager in the transportation industry.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of DOT regulations, federal and state standards 
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects
  • Self-starter, detail-oriented, strong work ethic

  • Ability to delegate and supervise
  • Basic computer skills – Outlook, Word, Excel
