2026 Advertising Summer Internship
Oklahoma City, Oklahoma

Program Overview
The summer internship program consists of a 12-week session that starts on Monday, May 18, 2026 and ends on Thursday, August 6, 2026. This position is in Oklahoma City at our corporate offices. Remote work is not available. Each student intern will work on a project with a seasoned mentor from the Hobby Lobby Advertising staff. Interns will be scheduled to work approximately 32 hours per week, with every Friday off. Through this program, students will gain real-world knowledge of paid advertising and apply their learnings to projects that directly contribute to Hobby Lobby. This is a paid internship and is offered at a competitive rate in the Oklahoma City market.

Requirements

  • Major in Advertising, Marketing, Communications, or other related majors
  • Preference toward either a junior or senior level student in an accredited undergraduate program
Internship Overview
Over the course of the program, the Digital Advertising Intern(s) will participate in a structured curriculum that will produce actionable insights for the business that culminates in executing a real campaign. Additionally, they will learn about Hobby Lobby's brand safety/suitability compliance and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to help the broader advertising team closely align current campaigns to our strategic goals.

This internship will allow students to acquire and develop PPC (pay-per-click) advertising skills through executing real-world strategies and learning alongside a team of subject matter experts. At the conclusion of the internship, the intern will be able to take said learnings and apply them to a multitude of paid advertising-focused entry-level positions.

The Digital Advertising Intern(s) will work with applications and tools that enable us to manage paid advertising campaign builds and deployments, engage in monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs), assess whether or not certain strategies are successful, and maintain other areas of our marketing communications. The tools utilized for ad executions include the Google Ads interface, Google Analytics/GA-4, Meta Business Manager and more. We also use productivity tools such as Microsoft Excel and Word for analysis and day-to-day workflow. While we understand the intern may be new to Google Ads and Meta Business Manager, we expect them to have some experience in the Microsoft Office Suite (or an equivalent such as Google Workspace).

  • Short-form ad copywriting (headlines, descriptions, etc.)
