Essential Duties:

Responsible for coordinating all technical activities of assigned programs including planning, scheduling, and managing personnel and design work. Manages direct reports. Coordinates with Engineering Managers to ensure all required tasks are identified and assigned. Proactively leads improvement initiatives.

  • Oversees the activities of the engineering design team
  • Proactively leads initiatives
  • Manages personnel by instructing, directing, and checking work
  • Completes performance review process for reports
  • Completes assigned tasks as a working manager
  • Ensures outcomes that conform to employer's values and strategies
  • Ensures projects are on schedule and within budget
  • Drives compliance with modeling standard, drafting manual and other Playbook procedures
  • Participates in preparation of proposals as required
  • Supports, communicates, reinforces and defends the mission, values and culture of the organization
  • Adheres to all quality and safety standards
  • Supports other projects and performs duties as assigned

Education/Experience/Other Skills & Abilities:

  • Minimum three (3) plus years of experience with strong performance as a lead designer required
  • Associate degree in related field required; Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Able to work independently on a weekly basis
  • Advanced technical expertise
  • Possesses effective oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to lead, coach and mentor others
  • Possesses quality orientation and high attention to detail
  • Possesses strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with customers, vendors, employees and managers at all levels within the company
  • Possesses strong computer skills with demonstrated proficiency in standard business software packages (e.g., Microsoft Office)
