Job Summary This Position Is Responsible For Quoting And Rating Proposals And Renewal Projections And Approves Cases Within Established Authority Guidelines.

What Does the Associate Underwriter Role Entail?

This position is responsible for quoting and rating proposals and renewal projections and approving cases within established authority guidelines.

What Are the Requirements You Must Meet?

  • Pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Business, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance or Accounting

  •   Graduation date between December 2023 - June 2024

  • ·A minimum GPA of 3.0/4.0

  • Unrestricted authorization to work in the United States (currently, we are not offering this position with a student visa including F1, OPT, CPT or H1B and are not accepting student work visas for this role)

What Do You Need to Be Successful?

  • Math skills: the four basic math calculations (addition, subtraction, division & multiplication) and the ability to estimate for mathematical reasonableness

  • interpersonal skills: Ability to establish and maintain business relationships.

  • Independent judgment and problem resolution skills.

  • Work management skills: the ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time and workload to meet deadlines.

Preferred Job Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of health care products and covered eligibility.

  • Knowledge of state and federal legislation governing underwriting practices.
