This position is responsible for overall design, implementation, communication and administration of the organization's compensation programs; ensure compensation programs and practices support the organization's strategic objectives and the Human Resources value proposition to attract, develop and retain high quality diverse employees for the corporation; lead and manage the compensation policy and salary administration programs; represent the company in external audits; and ensure the Service Center has clear understanding of compensation policies and procedures.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide effective Salary Administration programs to ensure consistency of application, adherence to policy, and internal and external compensation equity.  Assure timely analysis, description, and evaluation of all positions within the company, using a point factor method system for all exempt positions and a ranking system for non-exempt positions.
  • Provide effective organizational design and structure of new and existing departments/divisions throughout the company.  Evaluate all levels of positions for the Grade 20 and below.  Participate in evaluations for EBG and officer levels.
  • Provide development of Annual Salary Proposal which involves recommending and implementing competitive salary structures through analyzing external compensation trends.  Analyze all the various salary structures for exempt and non-exempt positions grades 20 and below and consolidate where appropriate.
  • Provide assistance in overall administration of various compensation related incentive programs which includes Contingent Compensation, Gainsharing, Sales Compensation, department bonus programs, etc.
  • Establish salary administration policies to be used by line management in equitably administering the salaries of assigned personnel and provide for the review of exception salary and job transitions
  • Represent the company and coordinate with external attorneys and government agencies conducing audits; i.e., Wage and Hour, etc. to respond to and resolve problems.
  • Coordinate to ensure the Service Center has clear understanding of compensation policies and procedures.
  • Coordinate with subject matter areas of management solutions such as Staffing, Benefits, Workforce Relations, and Training to ensure the value proposition to attract, recruit, develop and retain a diverse workforce is met.
  • Provide effective coordination and movement of various special projects and programs
  • Comply with HIPAA, Diversity Principles, Corporate Integrity, Compliance Program policies and other applicable corporate and departmental policies.
  • Maintain complete confidentiality of company business.
  • Maintain communication with management regarding developments within areas of assigned responsibilities and perform special projects as required or requested.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in business or human resources and 12 years of progressive compensation experience.
  • 5 years' experience in a management position demonstrating leadership, team building, coaching and counseling skills.
  • Experience working with HR systems and/or system support to include workflow analysis, benefit analysis and procedure development.
  • Experience with compensation related concepts, practices and procedures.
  • Knowledge of all Human Resources disciplines with health insurance industry background.
  • Knowledge of call center management techniques to include call observation and auditing.
  • Project management skills; analytical and negotiation skills.

Compensation: $143,800.00 - $267,100.00

Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location
