Job Summary Job Purpose:We are seeking a Sr BI Analyst with healthcare domain knowledge to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for capturing requirements from business customers, creating data mapping documents for our BI engineers to develop data pipelines and data layers for BI reports, and supporting ad-hoc business requests.
To be successful in this role, you should have strong analytical thinking skills and be proficient in SQL and Python. You should also have some experience working with big data or in an Azure cloud environment. Additionally, you should be comfortable working with business customers to understand their data needs and be able to translate those needs into technical requirements. Familiarity with Scrum and JIRA, and the ability to create user stories and deliver insights, is also important in this role.

- Ability to consult with business stakeholders to design, develop and maintain business intelligence solutions.
- Capture requirements from business customers for BI reports and insights in the healthcare industry
- Create data mapping documents that outline the data sources, transformations, and calculations required for BI reports
- Generating quick insights and making data-driven decisions based on real-time data analysis to support business objectives
- Work with BI engineers to ensure that data pipelines and data layers are developed according to the requirements outlined in the data mapping documents
- Reviewing and providing feedback on the work of junior analysts to ensure the highest quality of output and continuous learning and development
- Assisting the leadership in managing and mentoring the BI analyst team, fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment
- Collaborate with business customers to test and validate BI reports and dashboards
- Understand and document the business processes and data flows related to the data being analyzed in the healthcare industry
- Continuously improve processes and workflows related to BI analysis and report development in the healthcare industry
- Support ad-hoc business requests and deliver insights to stakeholders
- Strong analytical skills Written, communications and presentation skills, ability to source interpret and present analytics in a thoughtful and meaningful manner
- Create user stories and manage their development using Scrum and JIRA
Required Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree with 5 years of experience in a BI analyst or similar role or 9 years of experience in similar role in with health care experience.
- 2 years of experience is leading projects.
- Proficiency in SQL and Python with minimum of 2 years' experience
- Strong analytical thinking skills
- 2+ years of experience working with big data or in an Azure cloud environment
- Ability to effectively communicate with business customers in the healthcare industry and translate their needs into technical requirements
- Proactive self-starter, quick-learner, flexible team-player, ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Ability to multi-task, maintain strong attention to detail, and prioritize work within tight deadlines.
- Experience with data mapping and data flow documentation in the healthcare industry
- Familiarity with Scrum and JIRA, and the ability to create user stories and deliver insights
- Experience with BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Qlik is a plus
