BASIC FUNCTION HCSC is looking for a dynamic individual to join its Treasury department in the Chicago IL office! This role assists the Manager of Corporate Risk & Insurance with the management of corporate insurance policies and renewals, claims reporting, captive reporting, maintaining insurance policy databases and electronic files as well as reviewing of vendor contract requests. The Risk Analyst seeks to identify, measure, and mitigate various risk exposures or hazards facing a business, investment, or projects utilizing quantitative risk analysis via mathematical models and simulations. This role is hybrid/flex and requires in-office visibility three days per week, working from the other two. NOTE: sponsorship will NOT be offered either now or in the future and relocation assistance is not available.

REQUIRED JOB QUALIFICATIONS  

  • Bachelor's Degree in Risk Management, Business Administration, Economics, Accounting or Finance.
  • 2+ years of experience in Risk Management, Claims Adjusting, Brokerage or Underwriting.
  • Ability to work independently and interact with others.
  • Willingness to learn P&C Insurance, including appropriate federal and state legislation, reporting requirements.
  • Clear and concise interpersonal, verbal, & written communication skills.
  • Solid project management skills to bring assignments to completion.
  • PC proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, RIMS system & Outlook.

PREFERRED JOB QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master's Degree in Risk Management, Business Administration, Economics, Accounting OR Finance.
  • Industry certifications preferred:  FRM (Financial Risk Manager)  or CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst)
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools, risk management software, and potentially programming languages.

Compensation: $54,800.00 - $121,100.00

Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location
