Description
The Registered Nurse is responsible for providing, coordinating and directing individualized comprehensive nursing care to all patients based upon the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation. The RN is accountable for her or his own actions and is directly responsible to the Director of Surgery. Ability to supervise nursing care and all related activities of the surgery suite according to the policies, procedures, philosophy and objectives of the Hospital and Department. Includes responsibility for staff, materials, equipment and the education of personnel. Ability to delegate responsibilities and duties to professional personnel.
Job Requirements: Current WA State RN license; Surgical Services experience preferred, but will train a qualified candidate; AORN active membership preferred; CNOR preferred; ACLS required within 3 months of hire; Lift 40 pounds from floor to waist, lift 40 pounds from wheelchair to bed level, lift 5 pounds over head, pull 50 pounds from stretcher to bed, push 150 pound loaded stretcher 300 feet; Flexibility: kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, squatting, climbing onto stretcher.
