- Graduate of approved AMA school of Radiology.
- Must be a registered ARRT.
- Job Details
- The CT Technologist, under the direction of the Radiology Manager and the Radiologist, performs computerized Tomography procedures including procedures of an invasive nature.
- The CT Technologist positions and instructs the patient, operates various pieces of specialized equipment and determines the technical factors for exposure.
- They must insure correct marking/labeling of all films.
- The CT Technologist must consistently provide safe, quality patient care.
- They also must take call.
- Job Requirements
- Graduate of approved AMA school of Radiology and be a registered ARRT.
- Possess knowledge in cross sectional anatomy.
- Possession of two years diagnostic experience desirable.
- Moderate to heavy physical effort required.
- Must apply proper body mechanics to safely transport patients and equipment.
- Ability to lift 40 pounds from floor to wheelchair or waist.
- Ability to move 40 pounds six feet.
- Ability to reach overhead holding 25 pounds.
- Ability to lift 40 pounds from wheelchair to bed level.
- Ability to pull 40 pounds from stretcher to bed.
- Ability to push 150 pound loaded stretcher 300 feet.
- Requires good stamina with flexibility and good manual dexterity, motor skills to operate delicate equipment.
- Requires computer skills.
- Demonstrates accurate judgment/decision making ability consistent with radiology knowledge and skills.
- Provides quality customer service and patient care using the standard radiology technology in accordance with established hospital policy/procedures.
