As a Yoga & Physical Education Teacher, you'll have the flexibility to shape your schedule, design creative lessons, and collaborate with passionate colleagues. What You'll Do: 

  • Teach in a truly personalized way — one student at a time. 
  • Adapt lessons and assessments to meet each learner's needs. 
  • Mentor each student and support their social-emotional growth. 
  • Build strong, consistent partnerships with parents and guardians. 
  • Collaborate with colleagues and contribute to campus life or culture. 
  • Keep student records accurate and organized. 
  • Invest in your own growth through reflection, feedback, and ongoing professional development. 

What We're Looking For: 

  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degrees or a teaching credential is a plus. 
  • Certification to teach yoga; minimum of 200 hours RYT (Registered Yoga Teacher). 
  • CPR Certification  
  • Ability and willingness to teach yoga postures, breathing techniques, and relaxation methods, following content standards — curriculum and resources provided.  

Previous education or experience must include one, or a combination of the following: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Kinesiology or Physical Education 
  • Minimum of 20 college credits in Kinesiology, Anatomy, Physiology, and/or Physical Education 
  • Expertise in the relevant subject area 
  • Enrollment in a program for, or completion of, a Personal Trainer certification 
  • Current CPR Certification  
  • Ability and willingness to teach a wide variety of PE & health courses (athletic sports, dance, board sports, personal fitness, group classes, health), following content standards — curriculum and resources provided.  
  • Education in nutrition and meditation, a plus. 
  • Ability and willingness to teach yoga with only verbal adjustments, no physical adjustments. 
  • Experience working with students, including those with learning differences, neurodiversity, accelerated learning needs, and/or mental health challenges. 
  • Mentoring experience and a passion for social-emotional learning. 
  • Outgoing, adaptable, and eager to thrive in a dynamic, student-centered environment. 
  • Skilled with technology, curious about innovation, and open to learning new tools. 
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. 
  • A growth mindset with the flexibility to pivot and problem-solve as needed.
