Description

Position Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated part-time Science Teacher for the 2024/25 School Year (fall start) at our campus. This role involves creating a student-centered, supportive classroom that fosters compassion, tolerance, emotional security, resourcefulness, and independent critical thinking. The teacher will address the individual academic and emotional needs of each student through Fusion's differentiated approach.

Pay Range: $26.00+ per hour USD

Key Responsibilities:

- Deliver one-on-one instruction in Environmental Science, Biology, Chemistry, Health and Physics for grades 6-12.
- Demonstrate evidence of adapting and differentiating instruction for all students, fostering holistic growth.
- Maintain accurate and complete records for both students and teachers.
- Develop and sustain positive and consistent communication with parents and teachers.
- Actively contribute to and benefit from the campus community.
- Engage in ongoing professional development, reflection, and continuous improvement.
- Provide significant student mentoring in addition to subject matter tutoring and teaching.
- Perform other duties as assigned, such as tutoring part-time students.

Qualifications:

- Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree.
- Strong knowledge in Biology, Chemistry, and Physics for grades 6-12.
- Teaching credentials are advantageous but not mandatory.
- Experience working with students with learning differences and ADHD, as well as mentoring experience, is preferred.
- The ideal candidate is outgoing, well-organized, proficient in basic computer skills, and eager to work in a dynamic and energetic school environment.
- Must be prepared to teach and tutor high school-level material immediately.
