Description

Calling all Humanities Heroes: History, Language, and Literature Lovers

What if we told you that the days of simply regurgitating the dates of centuries-old wars are over—and your lesson plans are now filled with the concepts, causes, and consequences that truly shaped the world? That in your classroom, students are not just reading great literature—they're writing their own stories, performing their own speeches, or analyzing song lyrics in another language? That your afternoons might be spent exploring the poetry of Pablo Neruda in Spanish, or discussing how language shapes culture? And that our schools are places where students partner with their teachers—mentors in their learning journey? Curious?

Welcome to Fusion Academy.
Our education model of one student to one teacher is unlike any other. Our spirited and talented educators provide life-changing educational experiences to middle and high school students through a personalized approach. We're committed to helping students realize their academic potential and grow emotionally and socially.

We are currently seeking Humanities Teachers—passionate educators who can teach History, English, and at least one Foreign Language (Spanish, French, Latin, ASL, etc.) to students in grades 6–12.

If you're equally comfortable diving into the Federalist Papers, dissecting Shakespeare, and introducing students to the beauty of another language and culture—you might be exactly who we're looking for.

Your Days Will Look Like:

Teaching middle and high school students one-to-one in English Composition, Literature, Language Arts, World and U.S. History, Government, Economics, and at least one Foreign Language.

  • Creating a supportive, student-centered classroom that promotes compassion, cultural awareness, and independent critical thinking.
  • Fusing academic content with social-emotional learning to create engaging lessons.
  • Differentiating instruction to address each student's academic and emotional needs.
  • Building trust and mentoring students to become lifelong learners and leaders.
  • Maintaining meaningful, consistent communication with parents and colleagues.
  • Participating in campus life as part of a collaborative and inclusive community.

What You'll Bring to Fusion:

  • Bachelor's degree required (Humanities or related field preferred).
  • Strong background in English, History, and at least one Foreign Language.
  • Passion for the humanities and for sharing cultural and historical knowledge.
  • Flexible, innovative approach to teaching that centers student needs.
  • Compassion, patience, and the ability to connect with diverse learners.
  • Willingness to teach across multiple subject areas within the humanities.
  • Ability to adapt quickly and maintain a positive outlook.

Nice to Have:

  • Teaching certification.
  • Prior teaching or tutoring experience.
  • Experience working with students with learning differences, ADHD, or diverse cultural backgrounds.

What We Offer:

  • Pay: $27.30 USD
  • Full-time employees: Medical, dental, vision, 401(k) match, paid time off, holidays, and more.
  • Part-time employees: Paid sick time, holidays, commuter benefits, and 401(k) match.
  • Year-long onboarding and training.
  • Ongoing professional development and leadership opportunities.
  • A vibrant, supportive campus community.

We welcome applicants from all backgrounds, including underrepresented groups. Diversity, equity, and inclusion are core to our mission.

When you join Fusion, you don't just take a job—you join a movement to change lives, one lesson at a time.
