The Records Examiner/Analyst III will leverage data analytics to enhance the management of legal asset forfeiture records, thereby improving decision-making and optimizing records management practices.

Duties:

  • Obtain, compile, and structure data and information from various sources, ensuring sources are appropriately monitored for timely execution of necessary actions.
  • Apply protocols for maintaining data integrity, ensuring accuracy and completeness, while effectively collaborating with legal and law enforcement entities to address and resolve complex issues.
  • Ensure the timely and accurate entry and updating of a high-volume of records in the case management system and/or designated databases, documents, or spreadsheets, while mentoring team members on best practices.
  • Facilitate the integration of relevant information from diverse sources to create comprehensive documents, reports, summaries and visualizations, ensuring that all responses are thorough and presented in the most suitable format.
  • Assist in the development of dashboards and automated reports that utilize analytics to provide real-time insights into case status, record completeness, and compliance metrics, facilitating quicker decision-making.
  • Analyze patterns and trends within records to uncover insights that inform strategic decision-making and operational improvements, such as case prioritization, resource allocation, risk, and process adjustments.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to understand their information needs and provide relevant data support.
  • Assist in the creation and refinement of standard operating procedures and provide training for both new and existing team members to enhance overall team competence and efficiency.
  • Take initiative in identifying areas for process improvement and innovation, and perform additional duties as assigned to support organizational goals.


Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a field related to criminal justice or data analysis and three years of professional work experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience, including at least two years in asset forfeiture or data analysis experience.
  • Microsoft or similar certification a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to multitask while consistently delivering top-quality work and exceptional customer service.
  • Expertise in records management principles, with a strong capability to review, interpret, evaluate, and extract data from complex legal and non-legal documents.
  • Outstanding organizational, prioritization, and analytical skills.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills; experience in data visualization tools preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills; a collaborative team player who maintains professionalism under pressure.
