Essential Position Functions :
The Anesthesia Technician reports to the Director of Surgical Services, and works under the direct supervision of the department's Nurse Clinical Leader, and Chief of Anesthesia. He/she is responsible for providing assistance to the anesthesia provider caring for patients undergoing surgical intervention, or diagnostic procedures where anesthesia is requested.
This individual assures the provision of high quality patient care, utilizes equipment appropriately, fosters a cooperative and collaborative relationship with physicians, establishes and maintains good internal and external customer relationships. S/he fosters a team approach to providing patient care that is safe, effective, patient-centered, timely, efficient and equitable. S/he performs all functions according to hospital policies, standards of care, practice guidelines, and applicable regulatory and professional entities within the scope of Anesthesia Technology practice.
Expected Hours of Work :
The core hours of the position fall within the hours the Surgical Department is open: 6a-530pm
- NH Medical Technician Board registration is required if not currently licensed or registered by a NH regulatory board.
- High School diploma or equivalency
- Anesthesia Tech Certification preferred and encouraged
- Previous experience or one year on the job training desired
- Must have working knowledge of hospital and anesthesia department policies and procedures with practice experience desirable.
